Care and cleaning

A few minutes a week keeps the surface clean and free of water marks.

  • Wipe the remote gently with a soft microfiber or lint-free cloth dampened with lukewarm water.
  • Avoid pressing hard on buttons to prevent water seepage.
  • Mix a small amount of mild liquid soap with water.
  • Dampen the cloth with this solution and wipe the surface gently.
  • Immediately follow with a dry cloth to prevent residue or moisture buildup.
  • Always dry the remote after cleaning to prevent any internal moisture damage.
  • Do NOT immerse the remote in water.
  • Do NOT use abrasive sponges or brushes, which may scratch the surface.
  • Avoid aggressive cleaners like bleach, ammonia, vinegar, alcohol, or descaling agents—they may damage the plastic, coating, or internal electronics.
  • No compressed air near buttons or seams—it could push moisture or debris inside.
  • Use only standard AAA batteries (alkaline recommended).
  • Replace both batteries at the same time—don’t mix old and new.
  • Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • If the remote is wall-mounted using the magnetic holder, periodically clean the magnetic surfaces to ensure grip.
  • Gently wipe the wall base and remote contact area with a dry cloth to remove dust or residue.
